Westpac has appointed Nerida Caesar, a technology and innovation expert as an independent, non-executive director to its board.  With about 30 years of commercial and business management experience, Nerida Caesar will join the bank’s board effective September 1.

Caesar, who is currently the managing director of Equifax Australia and New Zealand (formerly Veda Group), will transition to an advisory role within the company in early 2018.

She joined Veda Group, a credit information and analysis company in 2011 and was instrumental in helping integrate Veda when it was acquired by Equifax, a global information solutions company in February 2016. Prior to that, she was the group managing director for Telstra Enterprise and Government responsible for corporate, government and large business customers in Australia and the international sales division.  At Telstra, she also led the wholesale division and was an executive director of national sales responsible for managing products, services and customer relationships.
