On December 16, 2025, FiinRatings officially appointed two directors from S&P Global to its Board of Directors for the 2026–2030 term. This marks an important milestone in the strategic partnership between the two organizations and reaffirms S&P Global’s long-term commitment to supporting FiinRatings in developing Vietnam’s credit rating industry and promoting a more transparent and sustainable capital market.
The newly appointed board members are Mr. Sarat Sattiraju, Director, Strategy & Planning at S&P Global Ratings (based in London), and Mr. Ritesh Maheshwari, Managing Director and Head of Southeast Asia at S&P Global Ratings (based in Singapore). Both bring extensive experience in finance and credit ratings across the Asia–Pacific region.
Mr. Sarat Sattiraju is a seasoned strategy leader with substantial experience in international financial services and credit ratings. He previously served as Chief of Staff to the CEO at CRISIL and held various senior leadership roles at S&P Global Ratings. He was a member of the APAC Executive Committee and played a key role in initiatives related to M&A, market expansion, and global growth planning.
At FiinRatings, Mr. Sarat will contribute to enhancing the company’s operating framework and refining its rating process in line with international standards, thereby strengthening its CRA business capabilities and global alignment.
Mr. Ritesh Maheshwari has over 30 years of experience in Asia–Pacific capital markets, credit ratings, and strategy development. He led the establishment of S&P Global (China) Ratings and currently serves on the Boards of TRIS Ratings (Thailand), Taiwan Ratings Corp., RAM Holdings (Malaysia), and PEFINDO (Indonesia), all of which are leading credit rating agencies in their domestic markets.
With extensive expertise in rating agency operations in emerging markets, Mr. Maheshwari will support FiinRatings by sharing international best practices, enhancing collaboration with S&P Global, deepening engagement with global investors, and elevating the international visibility of Vietnam’s credit rating ecosystem.

FiinRatings’ new Board of Directors consists of five members: Mr. Nguyen Quang Thuan – Executive Chairman & CEO of FiinRatings; Mr. Nguyen Huu Hieu – Board Member, CEO of FiinGroup; Ms. Vu Thi Hoan – Chief Financial Officer of FiinRatings; and two members from S&P Global, Mr. Sarat Sattiraju and Mr. Ritesh Maheshwari.
According to FiinRatings’ leadership, the addition of senior representatives from S&P Global will enable the company to draw on internationally recognized CRA practices, governance standards, and practical insights from one of the world’s leading rating agencies. This is expected to further enhance rating industry standards, reinforce market confidence, and contribute meaningfully to the transparent and sustainable development of Vietnam’s bond and capital markets.
