HANGZHOU, Dec 14, 2010 (SinoCast Daily Business Beat via COMTEX News Network) — Alibaba.com Limited (SEHK: 1688), a business-to-business (B2B) unit of China’s e-commerce heavyweight Alibaba Group, yesterday entered into an agreement with Geely Holding Group for a strategic cooperation in automobile sales online.

As the first step, the two partners launched a group purchase discount campaign on the official promotion platform of Alibaba.com for the marketing of the Geely Emgrand series. Buyers of the Emgrand series are expected to get a slew of value-added services from Alibaba Group.

The Geely-Alibaba.com tie will enable Geely Group to make full use of the Internet resources to boost sales in the country, said an executive for the Zhejiang-based company, describing the partnership as a win-win cooperation.
