Asia’s 500 largest banks’ total assets will reach $85.6 trillion in 2014, overtaking assets of top US and EU banks which are projected to grow to $82.3 trillion. Key performance indicators of the banking sector such as assets, loans, deposits and net profit grew over 15% last year. In particular, net profit growth remains staggering at 43% to $315.9 billion.
