BIIA held the BIIA 2017 Biennial Conference on October 19th to 20th in Bangkok.  Over 140 delegates from 26 countries were in attendance.

We have received many favorable comments some of which we have highlighted in our recent newsletter.  Many comments echoed the comments by one of our members “Congratulations, great respect for putting on such a wonderful event with such valuable content. It was also a fantastic holding environment for friends and colleagues to learn from each other and make new connections. Any event like this does not happen without tremendous planning and very careful forethought. Bravo!” Dr. Anthony Scriffignano, SVP and Chief Data Scientist at Dun & Bradstreet.

In conjunction with the conference theme “Embracing Digitization”, BIIA had invited His Excellency Dr. Pichet, Thai Minister of Digital Economy and Society.  In his opening key note speech Dr. Pichet stressed the benefits of digitization and the need to speed up implementations for business and society to realize the benefits.

Dr. Pichet’s speech has been uploaded on:  BIIA Conference Videos.  During the next two weeks we will add all conference sessions to the conference video site.  In addition we had several key notes, all of which have been uploaded.  To view the presentation, please click on this link.

For the first time local press was invited to a BIIA event and in this case to cover the minister’s speech.  This was followed by a press conference which lasted one hour.

We have covered the BIIA 2017 Biennial Conference in a special post and the BIIA Newsletter October II- 2017 Issue.  More coverage will follow.  We thank our two local members and hosts,  the National Credit Bureau of Thailand and BOL – Business Online Thailand for their generous support.

Stay tuned for the next issue.
