Welcome to the twenty first monthly newsletter designed to keep BIIA members informed of the significant developments on the policy dossiers being worked on in Europe and in other geographical territories.
SUMMARY
The month of March has seen continued activity in Brussels and further afield on FinTech and Big Data as regulators and policy makers seek to catch up and respond to the constant developments in these two areas.
We have also seen the European Commission start work on creditworthiness assessment as part of the Retail Financial Services Action Plan. As outlined in this newsletter this piece of policy work could have significant consequences for information providers, especially credit bureaus. BIIA will be monitoring the work of the Commission very closely and will be working with ACCIS to ensure the interests of our industry are protected.
