Google has appointed Bisnode (former EuroContactPool) to supply business data to Google Maps for Sweden, Denmark and Finland.
EuroContactPool provides and continually updates data for Google Maps from its pan-European business database. This enables users of Google Maps to see businesses in the location where they’re looking and click on to them to get more details. Users are also able to search for specific businesses using company name or industry and find the location of the business on Google Maps.
Google has partnered with EuroContactPool because its business database is the most accurate and comprehensive in Scandinavia. EuroContactPool was one of several different vendors whose data was tested by Google before the contract was awarded.
