Bundesverband Credit Management eV. (BvCM) invites you to its Federal Congress on October 26th and 27th, 2022 with the theme: “Strengthening the resilience of companies with sustainable credit management.”
This is the motto of this year’s BvCM federal congress on October 26th and 27th, 2022. The highlight of the year for Germany’s credit managers takes place in the Hotel Nikko in Düsseldorf. “We are pleased that we can finally meet again in person,” explains Jan Schneider-Maessen, Managing Director of the BvCM. Nothing beats the personal exchange of experiences.
The program is tailored to the current challenges in credit management – from crisis management to the need for information, from sustainability to practical examples, from artificial intelligence to data protection requirements. “Everything boils down to one thing: securing liquidity.” The information is processed in lectures, workshops and discussion rounds.
In the current situation, information about one’s own customers is of essential importance – and to an ever greater extent also about the suppliers. That is why the traditional “elephant round” at the congress deals with precisely this question. Representatives of the major credit bureaus explain how they ensure current and reliable information.
Prof. Dr. Aaron Mengelkamp reports on how relevant data for short-term creditworthiness indicators can be filtered out of social media.
Another discussion round deals with the outlook for 2023 and specifically the question of how companies will get through the crisis in the coming period. The experts already agree on one thing: there will be an increasing number of insolvencies and business closures. This is exactly why the BvCM is already dealing with the topic. For example, the working group on insolvency practice has drawn up the “minimum requirements for credit management in customer insolvency”. The results will be presented in detail at the congress.
