The payment index of German companies has declined slightly in February for the first time since summer 2011.  Although it is still on a very high level.  D&B Germany payment index declined to 87.79, down from 87.83 in January. Given this very slight decrease, it is too early to read a general trend from the data.

D&B General Manager Thomas Dold stated:  “In January the payment index has reached a high point and I think this will the highest point the index may go.  The softening of payment practices during the month February may not indicate a general reversal of the trend.”
