Hong Kong, 22nd September: Dow Jones announced this week that it will no longer publish the Far Eastern Economic Review. December will be the last issue of the Hong Kong-based publication which was launched in 1946 by Eric Halpern.   Dow Jones released a statement that read in part, “Unfortunately, despite several attempts at invigorating the brand, the Review’s continued losses in advertising revenue and readers are now unsustainable.”  The magazine has been in decline since 2004 when it switched from a weekly news magazine to a monthly, academic journal. Current FEER editor Hugo Restall will continue to serve on the Asian Wall Street Journal’s editorial board.   Source: Folio Magazine
