UK based BIIA Member Kimmelman drn17103Duedil has raised $5m (£3.3m) in Series A funding, which it will use to expand into new territories and develop its product offering by tapping into additional data sets.

Launched in April 2011 by entrepreneur Damian Kimmelman (pictured),  Duedil offers a source of private company information in the UK and Ireland. As well as Companies House, the firm gathers data from a range of sources including HMRC, the Patent Office and magistrates’ courts, and combines this with independent opinion, reviews and advice.

New funding has been led by Notion Capital and Oak Investment Partners, with Spotify investor Shakil Khan also participating with a personal investment in the company.

Kimmelman comments: ‘This new investment will enable us to extend the reach of our service into new regions and accelerate our hiring, especially in engineering and data science. We will also be expanding our product’s scope and insight by opening up and linking new and powerful data sets.’
