dun & bradstreet 150Dun & Bradstreet (NYSE:DNB) Chairman of the Board, Christopher Coughlin, has been honored by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) as Director of the Year.

Coughlin has years of experience in senior leadership roles which included serving as Chief Financial Officer of Tyco International Ltd. Additionally, he has held executive operating and financial positions at the Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., Pharmacia Corporation and Nabisco International. Coughlin has served as a Director of Dun & Bradstreet since December 2004, and was appointed Chairman of the Board in October 2013. He also sits on the Boards of Allergan plc and Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and has previously served on the Boards of Perrigo Company plc, Monsanto Company, the Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., Covidien plc and Forest Labs, Inc.

This past summer the NACD, the recognized authority focused on advancing exemplary board leadership and establishing leading boardroom practices, issued its list of distinguished 2015 honorees. The annual recognition honors leading corporate directors, corporate governance experts, policymakers, and influencers who significantly impact boardroom practices and performance. Nominees went through a rigorous process and were evaluated in four key categories: integrity, mature confidence, informed judgment, and high performance standards.

The Dun & Bradstreet Board of Directors was honored recently by the Women’s Forum Corporate Board Initiative as one of the Fortune 1000/S&P 500 companies with at least 30 percent of its seats held by women. This recognition follows an earlier award received from the Executive Women of New Jersey, the 2015 EWNJ Corporate Board Diversity award.
