Huge potential for fraud prevention, claims management and automated decisioning
The international information services provider Experian is expanding its presence in the DACH region, with the establishment of Experian Switzerland AG, which is based in Opfikon near Zurich. For Experian, this is an important step in the implementation of its growth strategy for the region. Customers will benefit from more direct communication and consulting on location. In addition, the entire solution portfolio of Experian DACH is now available to them.

Experian has previously served the Swiss market via partners from its German office and has been particularly successful in the insurance industry. Only recently, Experian implemented a fraud pool for insurers (HIS) for the Swiss Insurance Association. From February 2021, this data pool will be used to exchange information on claim events, which have a potential for abuse, in order to offer Swiss insurance companies greater efficiency in combating fraud. The pool also helps the affiliated insurance companies to protect their honest customers.
The establishment of Experian Switzerland AG not only means greater proximity to customers, but is also the basis for addressing additional industries. “In addition to insurance companies, we see growth potential in banking and e-commerce alongside many other industries in Switzerland,” explains Reto Schläpfer, Managing Director of Experian Switzerland AG. “The biggest opportunities are for our solutions to combat fraud and default, for insurance claims management, and for our automated decisioning platforms.
