Experian Sells Document Outsourcing Business in Colombia

Experian PLC (EXPN.LN) has sold the Colombia document outsourcing business of Experian Computec S.A. to Hermes Documentos S.A.S., a Colombian investor, for an undisclosed sum.

The business was acquired as part of the Computec acquisition in 2011 and is seen as non-core to Experian, the company said, adding that the sale frees up resources to focus on growing the core data and analytics businesses in Colombia. It will also allow the company to continue the development of other Experian products in this region.

Document outsourcing revenue for the year ended March 31 was $40 million and had been reported as part of the Latin America business.
