Global Sources acquires Shenzen Based International Brand Clothing & Accessories Fair (SZIC)

Global Sources, Ltd., has entered into an agreement to acquire an 80% stake in the China (Shenzhen) International Brand Clothing & Accessories Fair (SZIC), a fashion show in China, for a consideration of up to approximately $17.3 million. This acquisition will allow Global Sources to strengthen its domestic China presence and position its position in the fashion industry.

Started in 2001, SZIC is held annually in Shenzhen, and 2011 event hosted about 300 exhibitors, 4,000 booths, and 31,000 professional visitors.
