google(1)Google has acquired Appurify, a company which helps developers optimize the performance of the apps through automated testing. No financial terms of the deal have been disclosed.  The Appurify team will be joining the Google team in Mountain View, where they will be working to incorporate their tools for mobile developers into Google’s developer platform.

There is a lot of pressure on mobile apps to perform well right out of the gate. Numerous studies have shown that people have little to no patience for a poorly executed app. Which has lead to the rise of performance testing platforms, which help ensure that apps will meet standards right away.

Appurify was founded in 2012 and raised $6.3 million including $4.5 million in Series A funding led by Google Ventures in May of last year.
