ICCR Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group

The Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group (part of the International Committee on Credit Reporting [ICCR]) consists of regulators and information service providers from the region.

As a member of the ICCR, BIIA is actively engaged in the running of the Asia Pacific Regional Consultative Group (APRCG), taking the lead in organizing the agenda and running the meetings.

The APRCG is seen as a key forum for regulators and information service providers to share and discuss developments in the industry and best practices.

The role of the APRCG is to:

  • enable communication between the Committee with non-members on the various ongoing and planned ICCR initiatives.
  • provide a forum for regional stakeholders to input into the Committee’s work program.
  • facilitate the Committee’s stakeholder engagements and consultative programs e.g., surveys and interviews.
  • promote implementation of ICCR standards, principles, guidelines, and guidance within the region.
  • assess the impact of the Committee work and its implementation on the region.
  • monitor and assess developments and innovations in credit information sharing and other relevant activities within the region.
  • facilitate exchange of knowledge, practices, and insights among regional players on developments within RCG jurisdictions.
  • facilitate regional capacity building initiatives such as webinars, workshops, and conferences.
