Equifax Inc. (NYSE: EFX) said Heather H. Wilson, chief data scientist of fashion retailer L Brands Inc. (NYSE: LB), will be one of the company’s nine independent directors, serving on the board’s Technology Committee. Equifax CEO Mark W. Begor is the 10th board member.
Wilson worked as global head of innovation and advanced technology at Kaiser Permanente from 2007 to 2010, with overseeing the strategies and implementation of data-driven analytical programs. Her resume also includes two years as chief data officer of Citigroup, and another four as chief data officer at American International Group Inc. (AIG).
Equifax, which will now have three female board members, also highlighted Wilson as a “steady supporter of diversity.” The company noted that she launched the Kaiser Permanente Women in Technology group, was an executive member of Citi4Women at Citigroup, created AIG’s Global Women in Technology and served as executive sponsor of Girls Who Code.
