LexisNexis buys Seattle’s Knowledge Mosaic

LexisNexis announced it acquired Knowledge Mosaic Inc., which provides federal regulatory and disclosure information, including a database of agency materials and a complete set of electronically available SEC filings by public companies.

Founded in 2001, Knowledge Mosaic states that it serves more than 600 organizations, including North American law firms, financial institutions, public companies, accounting firms, government regulatory bodies and academic institutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

A LexisNexis spokesperson said Knowledge Mosaic will continue to be offered as a standalone product, but its content and tools will also be integrated with LexisNexis products and services.
