Federal Trade Commission (the “FTC”) on notified ChoicePoint Inc. that, subject to the FTC’s Order of September 15, 2008, the FTC has granted termination of the waiting period under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvement Act of 1976, as amended, with respect to the proposed acquisition of ChoicePoint by Reed Elsevier Group plc (“Reed Elsevier”). All of the closing conditions as described in the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated February 20, 2008, among ChoicePoint, Reed Elsevier and Deuce Acquisition Inc. have been satisfied or are expected to be satisfied by the closing.
