Member Alert: EUROPEAN COMPANY NETWORK – A Potential Directory Scam

A new online directory with the name of ‘European Company Network’ was announced in a recent email received by BIIA. The message states that ‘updates are free’, however the small print at the bottom of the order page commits the subscriber to a three year subscription with a price tag of Euro 995.00.

This announcement comes on the heel of a similar message received in January to subscribe to a ‘European Trade Register’. The address and fax number of the company are the same. At that time the Union of International Associations (UIA) had issued a similar alert.
