LexisNexis has finally released its next-generation legal research platform, Lexis Advance. This release, based on an entirely new and different platform from the legacy lexis.com platform, includes a number of interesting innovations that help researchers visualize the progress of their research.   New pricing plans and packages for different types of users will replace a previously-announced intent to provide separate products for each type of user, and the new pricing allows free searching over all content (whether it’s in-plan or not), with more explicit pricing information when a user is considering accessing out-of-plan documents.
