Standard & Poor’s announced the launch of the S&P Consumer Leveraged Finance Index.  The Index is designed to provide liquid exposure to U.S. companies engaging in consumer lending and consumer finance related activities. 

The S&P Consumer Leveraged Finance Index seeks to provide liquid exposure to 50 of the largest companies trading on U.S. stock exchanges whose primary business is related to consumer lending and consumer finance related activities.  Companies in the Index include mortgage REITS, thrifts and mortgage finance companies, diversified and regional banks, consumer finance of data processing services companies.   Source: istockanalyst
