The Cyber Center of Excellence (CCOE) is a San Diego based, public-private partnership dedicated to accelerating the cyber innovation economy.
This member-based organization is driven by the “best in breed” cyber partners in the world. Leaders like Sentek Global, ESET, SPAWAR, General Dynamics, FICO, Lockton Insurance, Morrison Foerster and so many others.
The CCOE’s collaboration with the California Governor’s Cyber Security Task Force adjoins their economic agenda with regional efforts to provide industry best practices that scale in targeted sectors like biotech, clean technology, hospitality, insurance, medical, and retail. The CCOE’s alliance with San Diego’s military community allows it to adjoin its tremendous talent reservoir and returning veterans to provide for a cyber workforce. The CCOE’s strategic efforts with the universities and academic institutions further perpetuates that next generation of cyber students, career paths and tech transfer. And finally, the political leadership and government coordination is allowing CCOE to project the region and state as the premier destination for all things cybersecurity.
The total economic impact of cybersecurity industry workers in 2013 was $1.515 billion, and the industry supports an additional 6,600-plus indirect and induced jobs.
