Thomson Reuters announced the launch of its Direct Intelligence Service for Insurance, a direct data feed of live regulatory information that insurance compliance managers can use to better manage risk. The intelligence available includes latest updates, pending and final regulations, regulatory guidance, administrative codes, insurance bulletins, statutes, pending bills, enacted laws, agency guidance, and agency decision material from close to 2,000 state and federal regulatory bodies. The new Direct Intelligence Service will form part of the Thomson Reuters Accelus suite of solutions.

With typically over 22,000 laws passed and over 275,000 pending bills each year it is becoming increasingly important and complex for compliance managers to stay abreast of insurance specific content and broader comprehensive content across all pending and enacted legislation. This offering significantly expands the coverage of US insurance developments which will help firms stay current with the complex changes in rules and regulations at both the State and Federal levels.
