The Deal Enriches Company’s Regional Data Management and Decisioning Offerings

TransUnion has signed an agreement to acquire control of ZipCode, one of the largest independent providers of registry information to companies in Brazil’s information management sectors that include credit, fraud prevention and marketing.  The acquisition provides TransUnion with new tools to deliver even more comprehensive data, analytics and decisioning capabilities in the Brazilian marketplace. Subject to regulatory review, TransUnion anticipates to close later this quarter.  Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ZipCode’s product portfolio includes solutions to help clients throughout the customer lifecycle, including customer acquisition, relationship management, debt collection and fraud prevention. The new solutions will increase TransUnion’s ability to help companies improve efficiency, manage risk, reduce costs and increase revenue throughout their entire business process.

“ZipCode builds on TransUnion’s strategy to continuously enhance our data management and decisioning services by expanding our solution suite that is relied upon by more than 45,000 customers globally,” said David Neenan, president of TransUnion International.
