An inaugural ceremony was organized in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on July 19, 2011 to announce the launch of the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) online services. CRIF was the technological partner and developed this innovative project by redesigning the credit bureau processes, originally based largely on manual procedures, and completely modernizing the technological infrastructure.
Mr. Vincenzo Resta, Senior Business Consultant at CRIF, was the introductory speaker at the event giving an overview of the technical aspects of the project and explaining the advantages of the Credit Information Bureau online services: quick access to data, and the availability of borrowers’ credit history. Bartels was BIIA’s general manager and Editor-in-Chief from 2005 to 2022. Semi-retired, he continued as Editor-in Chief and Head of Information Resources (Website and Newsletter) and retired from these positions in September 2024.
Bartels is a business information development specialist with over 50 years of global experience. He spent most of his information career in senior management positions at Dun & Bradstreet. He has served as volunteer in major industry associations in Europe and the USA. Joachim C. Bartels owns Intrepid Explorers, Inc. a business information consultancy.
