We are excited to announce our theme for the 2026 BIIA Conference, that will be taking place from June 17th to June 19th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Manila, Philippines.

Our theme for the event will be:

Trusted Data and Applied Intelligence – the Foundation for Resilience and Growth

Most industry analysts believe that one of the most significant takeaways that defined 2025, is that data and applied intelligence are the foundation for resilience and growth.

Every major risk-related trend in 2025 reinforced the need for trusted, high-quality, timely, and effective data and the use of applied intelligence (the blending of human and artificial intelligence). Data has emerged as a critical risk mitigator and predictor of growth opportunities for those working with both consumers and businesses – something those in the information industry have known for many years.

2025 was also the year organisations began widely accepting that the successful use of new technology such as Artificial Intelligence begins with data readiness. The impact of trustworthy data on AI model performance and decision-making has now become clear.

2026 and beyond represents a significant opportunity for the information industry to take an even greater role in ensuring that trusted data and applied intelligence enables economies to both protect consumers and businesses and ensure they grow in a sustainable way. What does this role look like and what should the industry be looking to implement to ensure they can provide the support required to both lenders and governments?

Join us in Manila from June 17th to 19th to hear from Senior Executives from the Information, Technology, Financial Services and Trade Credit industries and Government and Regulators discuss these questions as part of the following topics:

  • The importance of trusted data and analytics in supporting financial inclusion
  • Developments in B2C and B2B data including the role of synthetic data
  • Developments in analytics – the use of real time analytics and applied intelligence
  • The role of data and analytics in maintaining cybersecurity
  • Developing fraud trends – the use of data and applied intelligence in preventing fraud
  • Identity in the changing world of commerce – the importance of KYB, KYC, KYA
  • Data governance – ensuring compliance with growing regulation
  • The future of data and applied intelligence

We are keen to hear from members, or prospective members, of possible speakers for the various sessions that will be covered. Should you have any suggestions please do get in touch with the Conference Chair, Neil Munroe via email @ munroen@biia.com.
