About 70% of companies evaluated Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai as having a “positive impact” on the Japanese economy, with more than 20% saying the results exceeded expectations—indicating that the Expo served to some extent as a catalyst for growth. The economic ripple effects were particularly strong in Western Japan, especially the Kinki region. Companies gave an average score of 72.2 points for the Expo’s contribution to Japanese society and the economy, reflecting a generally positive assessment. The challenge now is how to translate these outcomes into sustained growth.
