International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM) unveiled a new tool aimed at helping enterprises deploy artificial intelligence (AI) while managing the risks around the technology and in compliance with anticipated upcoming AI-focused regulations.
The company described Watsonx.governance as a “nutrition label” for AI and said it can help businesses manage, monitor, and govern AI models from a range of sources, including tech providers like IBM or open source communities.
“Watsonx.governance is a one-stop-shop for businesses that are struggling to deploy and manage both large language models (LLM) and machine learning (ML) models, giving businesses the tools, they need to automate AI governance processes, monitor their models, and take corrective action, all with increased visibility,” Dr. Kareem Yusuf, senior vice president, Product Management and Growth, IBM Software said in a statement.
“Its ability to translate regulations into enforceable policies will only become more essential for enterprises as new AI regulation takes hold worldwide.”
In addition to Watsonx.governance, IBM’s watsonx AI and data platform also includes a set of data AI assistants designed to help businesses scale their AI efforts.
