Toney Rai, MSc, took over the newly created position of Head of Operations of the Insolvency Division at the Creditors’ Protection Association on June 1, 2024.
Rising insolvencies and increasingly complex tasks in the context of handling corporate insolvencies and private bankruptcies are leading to a restructuring of the insolvency department at the Credit Protection Association of 1870. Toney Rai, 34, has been strengthening the management team of the insolvency department since June 1, 2024. In his new role, he will now be responsible for process management, accounting and IT projects.
After completing his school career, Toney Rai, MSc, studied economics and social sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business with a focus on economics. He successfully completed his master’s degree in 2017. After his first professional positions alongside his studies, Rai started his professional career in the training sector as a controller. In 2018, Rai switched to banking, where he worked in the treasury/asset & liability management department. His area of activity primarily included liquidity management , the development and implementation of a liquidity and investment strategy, and the implementation of inventory, liquidity and earnings planning for budget and forecast. In 2020, he followed the call of KSV1870, where he worked as an executive assistant within KSV1870 Holding AG until recently. His responsibilities included investment management and scouting of start-ups, the implementation and further development of group reporting, the preparation of the budget and forecast, and supporting the executive board with strategic agendas.
Head of Operations in the Insolvency Division
In his new role within the KSV1870 Group, Toney Rai, MSc, will focus on internal areas such as the entire process management of the insolvency department, the clearing and processing of payment transactions and the further development of IT systems. Rai will perform this function alongside the head of the insolvency department at KSV1870, MMag. Karl-Heinz Götze, MBA. As part of this restructuring, we want to give Karl-Heinz Götze the opportunity to focus more on insolvency law aspects, the support of large insolvency cases and communication with all stakeholders in the future.
