One of the world’s largest payment networks is preparing to make digital assets easier to spend.

Visa and crypto payments company Mesh have announced a partnership designed to let consumers pay directly from their existing crypto and stablecoin balances.

The details:

🌎 Visa’s network spans 175 MILLION+ merchant locations
💳 No separate crypto card required
📱 Payments initiated through participating wallet apps
⚡ Mesh handles the funding and conversion
🏦 Merchants receive conventional payments without changing checkout systems

Here’s what makes this interesting.

Today, spending cryptocurrency often requires transferring funds, converting assets or signing up for a dedicated card.

The proposed integration aims to remove those additional steps.

Consumers would be able to use their existing digital-asset balances, while Mesh manages the conversion and Visa provides the merchant acceptance infrastructure.

In other words 👉 Traditional payment networks are building connections between digital assets and everyday commerce, potentially making crypto balances more useful outside exchanges.

For Bitcoin, this highlights the growing infrastructure connecting digital assets to conventional payments.
