According to the China e-Business Research Center, a subsidiary of Hangzhou-based B2B sourcing platform Zhejiang Netsun, China’s B2B e-commerce transactions reached US$466.7 billion during the first half of 2012 – an increase of 13% year-on-year.

There were reportedly over 16.5 million companies in China using B2B platforms, which helped to generate US$1.2 billion in revenue for e-commerce platforms in H1 2012. According to the report, the top eight e-commerce platforms have a 67% share of the overall market, with leading through 42% share.
