Kreditech, the Germany based consumer finance technology Group, announced that Michal Panowicz is joining as Chief Product and Information Officer (CPIO). In the newly created role of the CPIO, Michal will be responsible for the product and technology departments. Michal joins the Executive Team in the Hamburg Headquarters together with Founder and CEO Alexander Graubner-Müller, CFO Rene Griemens, CDO José Garcia Moreno-Torres and COO Oliver Prill.
Panowicz is known as “a digital frontrunner in banking” bringing nearly 20 years of proven track-record in financial services and technology. A major success in Panowicz’s career was a complete digital transformation of the 3rd largest bank in Poland – mBank – and growing it to one of the most recognized brands in financial innovation worldwide.
The revolutionary digital services launched by Panowicz’s teams received 14 global awards for financial innovation, from both banking and fintech audiences, such as “Efma Most Disruptive Innovation”, “Finovate Best of Show” and “Celent Model Bank”. Forrester Research, TechCrunch, the Financial Times and the Wall Street Journal also strongly recognized its success. Directly prior to joining Kreditech, Panowicz was SVP & Deputy Head of Digital Banking at Nordea where he staged the roadmap and execution platform for new digital channels of the Group. His earlier experiences include leadership positions at Microsoft, eBay, The Boston Consulting Group and serving as Independent Director on supervisory board of the Polish startup bank – Alior Bank.
