The board of directors of the creditor protection association have expressed their confidence in the Lower Austrian for another five years.

Mag. Hannes Frech (60) will remain Managing Director of the Kreditschutzverband von 1870 and CFO of KSV1870 Holding AG for another five years. The board of directors of the creditor protection association recently made this decision. Frech has been a member of the Management Board since 2015 and is responsible for the areas of finance & controlling, IT, facility management, insolvency and risk/quality management.

Hannes Frech, master of economics and social sciences, completed his studies with a focus on corporate management/controlling in 1990 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Born in Lower Austria, he started his professional career at SGP-VA Energie- and Umwelttechnik GmbH before moving to an American healthcare group in order to work in the healthcare sector after working for an international German mechanical engineering company. In 1997 he moved to HUMANIS Klinikum Niederösterreich, where Hannes Frech held the position of commercial director and deputy managing director until 2004. In 2004, the financial expert was appointed Managing Director of Burgenländische Krankenanstalten GmbH. As the sole managing director, Frech had overall responsibility for four hospitals, three state nursing homes and a school for health and nursing until 2014. In addition, Hannes Frech also held the position of branch manager of the Burgenland health fund, responsible positions in the Psychosozialen Diensten Burgenland GmbH and the self-help workshops Betriebs GmbH Stadt Schlaining.

KSV1870 path continues

After being a member of the advisory board at Act Management Consulting GmbH, he switched to the Kreditschutzverband von 1870 in June 2015. As Managing Director of the creditor protection association and CFO of KSV1870 Holding AG, Hannes Frech is responsible for the areas of finance & controlling, IT, risk/quality management, Facility management and bankruptcy. In addition, together with Mag. Ricardo-José Vybiral, MBA, CEO of KSV1870 Holding AG, he is responsible for human resources within the KSV1870 Group. Since then, KSV1870 has developed into a top employer: In this year’s ranking by trend, kununu and statista, KSV1870 took 4th place in the “Banks & Financial Services” category and 37th place overall.

The board of directors of the creditor protection association have now expressed their confidence in Hannes Frech for another five-year term. “With Hannes Frech, we still have a proven financial expert on board who has impressively demonstrated in recent years that he can confidently maneuver the KSV1870 through global economic crises. At the same time, the extension of the contract ensures that the modernization course taken by the board of KSV1870 will be consistently continued,” explains Mag. Roland Wernik, MBA, President of the 1870 Credit Protection Association.
