Thailand raced this week to build floodwalls at the outskirts of Bangkok to prevent the worst floods in half a century from inundating the city.  It is a sad situation to see so many people affected by the flood.  According to the Financial Times the flood could interrupt Japanese supply chains.

BIIA learned from its Thai members AR Research and BOL Thailand that unfortunately some of their employees’ homes are in flooded areas.  The governor of Bangkok has announced that the next 36 – 48 hours are critical for the city.

We express our sympathy to those who experienced losses due to the flooding and hope that the situation will improve soon.
