Equifax names Sanjay Patel as CEO for India

Equifax Credit Information Services said it has appointed Sanjay Patel as managing director and chief executive of its India business. He will be responsible for growing the company’s India operations that include consumer services, business services, and product innovations.

Prior to joining Equifax, he was a partner and senior vice president for India region at Polaris Financial Technology. He has held senior roles with Gartner Research and Advisory Services, Datamatics Technologies and GTL. Patel holds a master’s degree in business administration from NMIMS as well as an industrial engineering degree from IIIE.

Equifax launched its operations in India in 2010 as a joint venture between Equifax and six Indian financial institutions including Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Kotak Mahindra Prime, Religare Finvest, Sundaram Finance and Union Bank of India
